On behalf of the American Trucking Associations (ATA), I would like to send my sincere appreciation for your contribution to the success of the Awards Celebration at the 2019 National Truck Driving Championships (NTDC) & National Step Van Driving Championships (NSVDC).  The entertainment could not have happened without your attention to the detail of our requests during the planning process.  A very special thank you to the game company that the kids constantly played.  We continue to receive rave reviews about the celebration and it couldn’t have been possible without the fantastic party atmosphere of the DJ that you secured.  His timeliness and choosing perfect songs helped make this first time event a grand success.

I will certainly call on Sound Advice Entertainment again for our entertainment needs the next time we are in Pittsburgh.

Sound Advice is a valuable resource, making my job as an Activity Director in a Nursing Home SO much easier! Jackie does a great job of booking quality entertainment for my residents. Each act is different from the “regular entertainment” that we usually schedule. They are talented musicians who enjoy performing and spending time with my residents. I called Jackie at the end of 2014 and gave her a list of dates (first Friday of each month) and she had entertainers booked for me for the entire year within a few DAYS! I only have to contact Jackie and I have a new and different entertainer each month. Jackie makes things so easy by being the booking agent for all these groups. She sent me an email with an outline of each performer’s bio and music type and what date they will be here. I literally made one phone call and have 12 groups set up! If there is an issue or question, I just have to call Jackie and she handles everything on her end. Payment is simple also. I don’t have to have specific payments by group name, they just all go through Jackie. I am so glad that Sound Advice is available to meet our music needs and encourage everyone to call Jackie to set up your entertainment needs.

Christa Magness, ADC – Activities Director/Volunteer Coordinator

I highly recommend the services of Sound Advice to any performer.

I’ve been working with Jackie Hooper for only a little over a year now but in that short time she has shown herself to be one of the most professional, helpful and friendly and hardworking agents I have had the pleasure of working with.

I work 32 hours a week and play fifty to sixty events a year. Jackie has been instrumental at keeping track of my schedule and keeping all the blanks on my calendar filled.

She’s easy to get ahold of at almost any time of the day and has proven that she has the best interest for both her clients and her musicians in mind at all times.

If you are a musician looking for work or somebody looking for entertainment for any kind of event I would recommend Jackie Hooper at Sound Advice Entertainment.

Fiddlin’ Ray Bruckman- Performing Fiddler, Violinist and Mandolinist.

Within 24 hours of contacting Jackie from Sound Advice Entertainment, we had our first booking, at a venue that we really wanted to play. Working with Jackie, has allowed me to spend more time making music, and less time looking for gigs.

Christopher Volpe – Musician / Promoter

Jackie’s Entertainers are always reliable and on time. She provides a different entertainer per our request and she delivers on that promise!
They are always very courteous and friendly with our residents, and our residents are the ones who ask for the entertainers. She provides a great service! She always notifies us ahead of time who the entertainers are and what they will be performing.

I am an Activity Director at Barnes Place in Latrobe, PA . I have hired HDuo many times to perform for our community. Our residents love the music and prestigious performance they display each time they appear. Jackie and Janet are very unique and excel in their stage performance. We have also asked Sound Advice Entertainment to help us several times in supplying many very talented and entertaining groups and individual performers. We have been very blessed to have Jackie as an advisor and a supporter in our musical activities and events. I highly recommend the Sound Advice/HDuo all under the direction of Jackie Hooper to perform at any event here in our local community.

Our group, the Pittsburgh Ceili Club Dance Ensemble, has been around for over twenty years and I have been the Artistic Director for the last five years. We schedule performances through direct contact made by way of our website or via email. Our performances are used as a fundraising effort by our club. When Jackie Hooper of Sound Advice contacted us last summer about whether we could use her services I thought why not give her a try to see what she would do for our group.

She has gotten performances for us we would not have gotten otherwise. I find her to be very professional in asking whether or not we can do a performance, sending contracts for each one, sending reminders and follow ups to see how the performance went, both from our end and those who have paid for our services. Plus we get our normal fee. I find using Sound Advice is a definite win-win for our group.

James E. Guay – Artistic Director
Pittsburgh Ceili Club Dance

Jackie is wonderful to work with because she is very professional and prompt. She is quick to answer or return phone calls, sure to send out reminders, and quick with payment. I would highly recommend anyone looking to schedule or book with her.

Cara Rozgonyi – Entertainer

Jackie’s knowledge, expertise, and ability to book working musicians are second to none. She is able to contract numerous performers in a variety of venues and styles while maintaining the necessary organization and preparedness to develop and expand her growing clientele.

Nolan Petote – Professional Musician

As an entertainer, I’ve found Sound Advice a pleasue to work with. Jackie provides me with not only the contacts I need to work, but is cooperative, prompt and thorough – qualities that I, as a performer, much appreciate. In the fifty+ years I’ve been performing, I greatly appreciate her attention to detail, providing me with ALL the information I need for a show. I’ve worked with agents that only provide me with a date and time. Jackie makes sure I have an on-site contact, full details about the performance venue and requirements. It has been a wonderful experience to have all the information I need to put on a show.

In addition to being an entertainer, I am also the entertainment coordinator for several venues. This places me in a unique position to know not only what I want in booking an act, but to also know all the things that the booking agent needs. Jackie fills those needs wonderfully.

I recommend and endorse Sound Advice whole-heartedly. They’re professional all the way and can get you what you need.

Bruce Golightly – Entertainer

This is a top-notch booking agency for musicians and venues. “Sound Advice Entertainment” offers musicians a chance to broaden their fan base by targeting their genre of music to appropriate audiences. Jackie Hooper (Entertainment Director and Founder of “Sound Advice Entertainment) provides solid recommendations to performers and venues. My experiences in dealing with Jackie have been very satisfactory and positive. She provides the necessary details and paperwork for every show that she books. Her work ethic and style are professional. She is conscientious and places a follow-up call or text on the day of the show and the day after to make sure everything went well. I met Jackie through another musician friend and I am very glad to have met her. It has been a breath of fresh air to work with her and the gigs that she has contracted for me over the past several months have been great!
